Credit, etiquette and sending a puzzle

Puzzles are creative work. Credit setters, credit ideas you borrow, and share only what you made.

How it works

Every puzzle has a setter, and setters care about credit. When you share someone’s puzzle, name them and link to where they published it.

If your puzzle borrows an idea, such as a trick you saw in another puzzle, say so in your notes. Setters build on each other all the time, and saying so is normal and welcome.

Share only puzzles you made, and test them first. A puzzle with a second solution wastes every solver’s time, so the solver check is part of good manners.

How to send a puzzle here

Make the puzzle on puzz.link, copy its address, and paste it on our submit page with the name you want on the credit. You can add a link for the credit, an email so we can reach you, and notes on the solve.

Tick the box that lets us feature it with your name. The page checks your puzzle with our solver first, and won’t send one with more than one solution.

We read every submission. If we feature yours, it gets its own page with your credit, and players can rate its difficulty and fun.

What we never do

We never feature a puzzle without the setter’s permission, never change a featured puzzle without asking, and never credit a puzzle to anyone but its setter.

Worth memorizing

  1. Name the setter whenever you share a puzzle.

Link to where they published it.

  2. Credit ideas you borrow.

It is normal, and setters like it.

  3. Test before you share.

    One solution, no guessing.
